Women’s Group Mexican Art
And one more time, we had another fantastic Women’s Group session last week. Women came together to create the beautiful Mexican art piece, the “Eye of God”. They enjoyed crafting while also sharing time together and having fun.
It was a great session led by our amazing volunteer, Janette, who shared the rich Wixárika culture through this beautiful yarn creation. It was a great opportunity for her to show her cultural traditions to other women from around the world.
Here is some beautiful feedback we got from our workshop:
“I absolutely love doing these classes run by the most beautiful ladies from MCCGC. I feel so relaxed, and I let my creativity flow. Congratulations to you all for creating such a great and fun atmosphere for us to spend quality time with great company.”
“It was a great time for everyone joining this workshop. Thank you so much for making a lovely day!”
“It was great to do our “Eye of God” with staff assistance. Thanks.”
“I have learned a lot about Mexico, and it was amazing. MCCGC staff is excellent. Thank you.”
