Voting and Participating in Australia’s Democratic Process

As the Federal election in Australia approaches, it’s crucial for all our communities to participate, understand the process, and have their voices heard. That’s why in our first Meet, Greet & Eat of the year, we will focus on “Voting and Participating in Australia’s Democratic Process.”

During this session, we will have representatives from:

  • Australian Electoral Commission explaining the electoral system and voting process and running a practical workshop for those unfamiliar with how to vote.
  • SBS providing information about news and information for communities in 60+ languages and their coverage of the Federal Election.

Voting is not just a right but a responsibility that ensures our democratic system reflects the will of the people. It allows us to influence our daily decisions, from healthcare and education to infrastructure and social services.

Date: Tuesday, 1st April
Time: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Location: Cura Wellness Centre, 1 Dominions Road, Ashmore

Join us for this session, which will empower you to make informed decisions and actively participate in shaping our nation's future.
