My Aged Care Information Session

We had a fantastic time sharing a delicious morning tea with Chinese seniors during the My Aged Care Information Session at our Southport office today. The session, conducted in their first language, Mandarin, by Ping from our Multicultural Seniors Program, provided important insights into Australian regulations related to My Aged Care, how to apply for it, and information on seniors' health cards, senior ID cards, and the different services available to them.
The highlight of the morning was their social connections. It's so important for seniors, especially those feeling isolated, to have opportunities to connect with others. These interactions are crucial for their mental health and overall wellbeing.
A big thank you to the Chinese community for joining us and our Care Finder team leader, Amanda, for supporting the session. We encourage the Gold Coast Chinese community to attend our Chinese Club and Digital Skill workshop. If you want to participate, please contact Ping at 0420399915 or pingb@mccgc.org.au
