Creating a Dementia-Friendly City of Gold Coast Forum
Our Care Finder team participated in the 'Creating a Dementia-Friendly City of Gold Coast' forum hosted by the newly formed Gold Coast Dementia-Friendly Network. The forum aimed to acknowledge organisations that have become dementia-friendly on the Gold Coast.
During the event, people impacted by dementia shared their stories; there were stalls hosted by researchers and organisations committed to dementia support, and our team enjoyed a beautiful performance by the Inspire Dementia-Fliendly Choir, a group of people living with dementia and care partners in the community singing together.
The City of Gold Coast and Runaway Bay Police Station have done an incredible job in becoming dementia-friendly, and we hope to see this effort continue throughout the Gold Coast.
