Anniversary IWA Australia

It was an honour for our Head of Business and Stakeholder Development, Emily, and our Chief Operating Officer, Jess, to attend the 34th anniversary celebration of the Islamic Women’s Association IWA Australia Ltd at the Queensland Parliament in September. It was a significant moment to recognise the incredible work and dedication of CEO and founder Galila Abdelsalam OAM and her team in supporting the community.

During the event, they engaged in insightful discussions with Hon. Shannon Fentiman MP, Minister for Health, Mental Health and Ambulance Services, Minister for Women, and Hon. Charis Mullen MP, Minister for Child Safety, Minister for Seniors & Disability Services, and Minister for Multicultural Affairs about how to continue supporting multicultural communities on the Gold Coast.
